MyBuy Nursing Scrubs & Stethescopes is a wonderful company that sells products for the medical profession. My husband is a paramedic and was beyond excited to try out a new stethescope. In his field, since he is also a fireman, there are plenty of needs for medical items. Although he doesn't wear scrubs, he is constantly using his stethoscope in the field. He tried the 3m Littmann stethescope in green. Green is his favorite color and it was great that he was able to get it in that color.
While working, my husband said that the stethoscope was great to use. It was perfect for hearing a patients chest sounds, it was very clear. I am sure you have seen those commercials for the security systems where the mom and daughter are pulling in to the driveway blissfully unaware that there is a burglar in their very house stealing all of their valuables and rummaging through all of their things. The mom and daughter walk in to the living room and the burglar jumps out the window and takes off running. The mom always looks so scared and the little girl usually hides behind her mother for protection. Silly them, if they had just called San Diego adt security ahead of time probably none of this would have happened! At least if they had an alarm system on their home and someone broke in the police would have been alerted and they could have stayed out of harm’s way and not gone in to the house because they would have been alerted by the monitoring company. These commercials look a little silly to me but if I were to ever be confronted with that situation I would hope that I could keep my composure as well as the mom’s on those commercials do.

Firemen's Brew Review & *Giveaway*

Since hubby is a fireman, I am on the constant lookout for new and interesting "fireman goodies" to get him for gifts. Recently, I had the opportunity to do a review for Firemen's Brew. The kind folks there sent hubby and I a 6 pack of beer, including their "blonde, brunette & red head" flavors. My favorite was the blonde, and no, not because I am blonde :) Hubby liked the red head, but they were all great.

Not only was my husband thrilled to try this, but because the company was started by two firefighters, he couldn't wait to show his support for them both! The beer was exceptional, and the package arrived in perfect condition, it was sent with every precaution in mind so that these tasty beers did not get broken during delivery.
We also were sent some coffee, cleverly titled "3 alarm blend". It is a french roast that is caffeinated, but they also offer a decaf blend called "false alarm". The coffee had a very smooth flavor and smelled great!

If you have a fireman in your life, I strongly recommend checking out Firemen's Brew. As a former law enforcement officer, I can honestly say, I have "converted" to the fire side of EMS :) My husband has been a fireman for over 12 years, and nothing makes me happier than seeing him enjoy his line of work. I love the fact that this company was started by two firemen, and that they offer their wonderful products to the public :)

TJ & the Time Stumblers book review

This is a book written by Bill Myers. It is the "Switched" edition of this series of books called TJ and the Time Stumblers. It is a good book for teens and young adults, and reaches into the imagination. It flows nicely, and is easy to understand. The main character is a girl in this book, so it might be more for a female reader. It's an upbeat and fun book to read and would be a good book for night time reading as there is nothing "scary" in it. Their are funny points in the story, but the girl does end up bald. Not sure that a young girl would want to read that. Other than that it is a good book.

Salsa Senorita Review & *Giveaway*

I recently had the chance to do a review for Salsa Senorita. I was excited to try the medium salsa, and I was not disappointed! It was so good! Although it was "medium" it did have a "kick" to it, which made for a great flavor. I was very impressed with it, and my husband and I made it a "nachos and salsa movie night". He loved it too!
